smb server problems and screen problems

I’m making a mediacenter of an older pc we have at home. so far geexbox is working great, allthough there are a few problems.
1. I can’t see shared geexbox folders in win7 allthough upnp and ftp is working, but not with filezilla
1.1 I’ve tried to ping from win7 to the geexbox pc but there is 100% dataloss
i’ve downloaded the server and client opk files for geexbox but no luck
smbd runs when ik look in top but not nmbd

2. When i run geebox for a longer time the screen gets stripes mostly red the same happens with al the text

I could use some help since I am an amateur regarding linux

hum , i don’t think there is a samba-server package built with 2.0
You should test a devel iso.
