How can I decrease the bootdelay of the welcome screen ?
On the Raspberry it takes about 10s until Geexbox proceeds with booting
    while displaying “Welcome to Geexbox….”

By the way, what’s the purpose of this login screen?
If I log in to repair some settings, everthing is readonly.

You mean the time from the text mode console prompt to the splash XBMC screen ? Not sure if disabling the splash screen via advancedsettings.xml improves this a bit, but I’d say the only thing that can help here is to use a faster (e.g. class 10) SD card.

Switch between multiple XBMC users/profiles ?

Yes, I mean the text mode console.
I suggest the timedelay is a parameter in an ini-file like other OS.
    But I don’t know where.

Switching between multiple XBMC users can be done within XBMC.
So why should I do that while booting ?

Nope. This console is visible on some platforms (i.e. those that don’t use XOrg) while all the services are starting up in the background. The time for which it is present depends on the speed of the overall system startup. There is no parameter that extends this artificially and nobody is supposed to logon there. We just have not found a way to hide it…
